Seasoned performer comfortable on multiple instruments in any style.
Teaching since 2003 on many instruments including Saxophone, Piano, Bass, Drums, Flute, Theory and Improvisation, and more!
Proficient in both classical and jazz styles with over 24 years of experience.
A wealth of professional experience serves my piano playing. Piano is also central to my philosophy in teaching students about music theory and improvisation.
With over 16 years of performance experience on flute, I am comfortable teaching and playing the instrument in classical, jazz, and popular styles. As a saxophonist, I am also in a unique position to help saxophonists who are trying to add “doubling” on woodwinds to their abilities.
After spending years working technical support and production in addition to my time in the music business, I am able to leverage existing technology of various types to assist in my lesson and education structure. I have experience in recording, mixing, and audio production, as well as experience using a wide variety of software. These skills are becoming increasingly important for students to have a handle on as they enter a potential career in music.
